Aloha, I’m Caity — surfer, mama, and the heart behind Salt & Soul Sessions. I grew up working in hospitality and always loved connecting with people. Since
I was young, I dreamed of chasing endless summer, growing tropical fruit, and living somewhere where the ocean was a way of life.
That dream led me to backpack through New Zealand and Australia, where I learned to surf and scuba dive — and eventually to Maui, where I’ve called home since 2018. Today, I share my days between motherhood, saltwater adventures, and capturing the beauty of island life with my camera.
Salt & Soul Sessions is more than photography — it’s about connection, storytelling, and honoring the natural beauty of Maui and the people who love it. My style is warm, candid, and lifestyle-driven, with a little bit of whimsy. Whether it’s a barefoot family session on the beach, a maternity shoot in the waves, or portraits that capture your personality, I’m here to preserve memories that feel alive, joyful, and true to you.
When you book Salt & Soul Sessions, you’re not just getting a photographer — you’re getting someone who values laughter, comfort, and authenticity. I believe the best photos come from moments that don’t feel staged. That’s why my sessions are playful, relaxed, and full of movement. We might chase your kids through the sand, splash in the ocean, or wander through Maui’s lush jungles — whatever feels most like you.
My goal is simple: to create photographs that feel like memories — timeless, joy-filled, and full of aloha.

"Caity is a genuinely caring and attentive person first. Her authenticity in supporting and seeing people in their best light shines through in all of her interactions. This translates into her photography with her cheerful, easy-going and patient manner while getting great shots. She truly has the dedication, endurance, and professionalism it takes to make a great photographer out in nature. Looking at the final photos we took brings a smile to my face not just for the memories captured but for the fun experience we had that day."
